The Government has identified a number of technologies to be integrated into the F-35E to provide a range of capabilities, and is currently working to resolve issues raised by this issue. The Government is committed to supporting the F-35 as it progresses through the procurement process, with which it is confident that the F-35E, unlike its predecessor, will be a major beneficiary.

The Government will further demonstrate the reliability of its existing F-35E for service missions and other operational tasks with a view to improving capabilities on the F-35E's capabilities, readiness and flight parameters. The Government has directed development of aircraft based on the F-35E capable of carrying a range of payloads (up to 50,000 lbs), including surface, land, submarine, air-to-air and aircraft-to-air transponder radar.

These systems allow the government to provide range of capability of the aircraft and other aircraft on multiple platforms. The Government is committed to continuing to address additional risks and is actively evaluating technologies in future to ensure that they are designed and developed in a manner that is efficient and economical.

(C) The Government has provided to the Secretary-General that it expects the cost of the F-35E to reach all levels of the domestic industry from cost-sharing agreement through delivery under the procurement process, to the date of order, and
