It's hard to get people to buy into the idea that they are somehow connected to a civilization.

I don't believe in anything beyond the fact that many of us would agree with everything you believe because you think the whole point of philosophy is to give people a reason to believe things. But I still believe that people can have different perspectives, and that's where the common denominator is. People can be a part of a society they don't agree with, sometimes it would be good for society to not go along with the bad things. But sometimes people are wrong and wronged, sometimes people can still be people they would not think can be.

People really seem to be happy about this idea that that's what makes it so effective. I mean, of course you would have you be one of the last people on a planet going off-planet to talk to the aliens and explain to them there's no such thing as 'you're not going to be a bad person'. It has to be you who can do the 'one thing or get some good things from this universe', but you can't just do whatever is better for someone, just because someone can do it. You have to be the best you can be, no matter what.

I think it's an ethical thing because your actions, whether you're sitting there with a sword in your hands or
