But the study does show that, despite its name, the P1A can handle both light and infrared heat, as shown in a recent thermal and photovoltaic light test (see video below).
P1A's P1A design allows it to outperform other P1A designs, according to the team's lead, physicist, and an author on the paper, Chris Czalbakowski, from ETH Zurich.

The P1A has four solar panels in its center, with a typical 2,500 watt output during a short-term storage test. This power supply will also allow for power transmission during both short and long term use.
