Bajaj also said that the road was closed temporarily to allow for safer travel in the area and that a helicopter carrying the injured person was conducting a search.
Several helicopters responded to the scene, but the incident was not immediately known.
Indian forces have been conducting raids on Buddhist temples for four months to protect them.
