technology has made life better for me by building a small, very powerful desktop computer based on Linux. It offers great features such as cloud-based hosting and video streaming. However, it is not cheap. My budget is about $100,000 per hour, so it is hard to justify the expense.
With Windows Azure, it provides a complete solution, a whole lot of features is possible, the only flaw is that the Microsoft Azure services are not available online at all. What I would imagine is that the company is still going back to its design methodology to develop and maintain its business.
The team in Azure has created its own environment: the cloud. The company has also been working through numerous changes. The new environments are built on top of existing Microsoft Azure systems and have come with multiple components. I am sure we have seen the company build out their own tools, tools and processes to take advantage of new features. The Windows Azure service has taken it to the next phase and it has greatly improved the performance and overall experience.
All of this is just to make the experience faster as much as possible for employees and customers. It is a clear example of how not to build a very fast web service.
The end result should be a well integrated product. Windows Azure really is one of the best things in the industry.
